The Kawai NV12 Novus Hybrid Digital Piano combines a full grand piano action with digital sound generation in a grand-style cabinet. It features Kawai’s Millennium III Hybrid grand piano action with wooden keys, graded ABS hammers, and a real grand piano damper mechanism that mirrors the movement of an acoustic grand piano. The instrument uses the SK-EX Rendering sound engine with Shigeru Kawai SK-EX Competition and Concert Grand piano samples, and projects sound through Kawai’s PentaDrive soundboard system, which activates a wooden soundboard using transducers instead of traditional speaker drivers. A touchscreen display, Bluetooth MIDI and audio, and USB-C connectivity provide access to recording, sound adjustment, and external device integration.
